To set up your featured slider images and thumb for the content you only need to ad one custom field, this is how it works. When you’re creating a new post just give the post a title like you normally do and select which category you want them in, when you want it also inside the featured category then just select the Featured category and the Photoshop category.

Then wright your post and ad the images of a tutorial or an article inside the writing section. Now you want to create the featured slider image and the thumbs, wel its so simple then when you’ve seen it then you think, Oh my god is that all.

1. Click on the “Add an image” icon to open up the upload window.

2. Upload an image larger the 650, 800×600 is a good size to shrink without getting distorted. Upload an image from your computer and wait until its uploaded.

3. Now you need to copy the image url and click save all changes, then you need to close the window.

4. Now you need to paste that link inside a Custom field, scroll down this page and you will find a section called Custom Fields, there’s a name field and a value field. Put the link you’ve copied inside the value window and select post_thumb as name, then click “Add Custom Field” .

That’s all you need to do, now you only need to publish your post and the you will notice that the featured slider image, slider thumb, front-page thumb and post thumb are automatically generated, when you don’t want to make a featured post then you need to repeat these steps as well, this way only the front-page thumb and post thumb will show.
